Hey there friends!
I am very exhausted and had a very long 2 days. As you all know, the musical I'm in opened yesterday. I've been having allergies throughout the week. It's not fun at all. But still, I kicked some booty and sang my heart out.
The first night was great. I was a little shaky but it was okay. There are people who told us that we were a little off though. Tonight, I have to say we did better than last night. I totally felt a confident boost whenever I see the audience. I'm not nervous when I'm on stage but I just don't want to mess up. It feels like I'm getting use to the stage which is very positive. Very very positive.
I am nervous but confident. My friends who are doing the props, definitely helped me out. I've got so many hugs, I can't even count! At first I could but then, I just gave up. It was very overwhelming and good to know that somebody cares. It was a wonderful experience. I can't wait for next week again when I get to, once again, get on stage and perform.
I'd like to point out that I love the first night the most. Well, the reheasal-before-the-show part. Ms. Kemp was a little teary but what she said totally boost up my confidence. She said this, "Tonight, is the first time for some of you but for some of you, it's the last. *tear* So make good use of it. Tonight, go out there and thank God for the talents that He has given you. It doesn't matter whether it's dancing, singing, whatever.. thank Him for that and thank Him that you have a chance to go out there and show people what you've got!" I was so so touched by it. It was an amazing short speech. I still tear when I talk about it. It's very moving and I just couldn't hold it back.
On Friday night, we're gonna have a strike! Well, we'll have to clean up everything and they planned that after that, we'll go to IHOP. whooo hoo!!! lol. I've never been to IHOP before so this is a good chance to go and well, bond with the people too! I'm prolly gonna get back home like 12 midnight but hey, how many times do you get to do things like this? Nobody knows what's gonna happen tomorrow so this will be a good way to go out and hang out with amazing people.
I was gonna post this on my xanga but then again, there isn't much life over here so I thought I'd boost it up a little by talking about my day. How bout yours? How has yours been? Do talk about it on the boards.
Well, I'm gonna finish up my coffee, eat something and watch a movie or something. I haven't eaten dinner for 2 days now. I am so hungry today at school, it wasn't even funny! I had to wait till 3rd lunch.. oh boy, that was a long wait. I could hear my stomach growling like crazy. Since it's the show, I don't want to eat dinner coz then I'll be using the bathroom tons of times. By not eating, I can stay away from the bathroom and also burn some calories. haha.
I gotta jet now! A Walk To Remember is waiting for me!
love you always,
Laura
