First of all, I'm not into watching movies much. I've seen lots of crap movies, so I've limited myself to ONLY watching movies that get really good ratings, since my likings are very similar to critics like Ebert and Roper (if it's two thumbs up, i'm sure to watch).
Here are some of my must watch movies:
Million Dollar Baby: A movie that speaks for itself. oh, man. if you haven't seen it, you're a freak! It got 3 academy awards and it's just one of those movies you can't forget. oh, geez, was I not able to sleep that night (it's HARD to breath through your mouth!)
The Audition (Japanese with English Subtitles): A movie that'll make your eyes widen, literally, countless times. If you plan to watch, don't go on the internet to see what it's about; just watch it. I guess, you can call it a romantic comedy. ;D
A Tale of Two Sisters (Korean with English subtitles): The theme song is so creepy... *shudders* Lots of classical music that adds to the creepiness. Interesting movie, yet different at the same time.
Team America: WOrld Police: Okay... not the GREATEST movie, but one of the most funniest movies I've ever seen. THe Music is even hilarious! One thing I didn't like about the movie was the nasty puppet-on-puppet love scene. yuck. so many different postitions done in such a small amount of time. But the rest of the movie is pure genius. "Turn left on Bakaladaka Street!"
and my all-time favorite:
Romy and Michele's High School Reunion: this is such a chick flick, but i love it! Lots of awesome eighties songs, and the movie is just hilarious! Lots of great quotes. "Let's fold scarves" "Okay!"
Anyone have any movies that I gotta see?! I haven't seen any GREAT movies in a while...
